5* Food Safety was born from Katy's desire to make food safety regulations inclusive to all food establishments.

Katy takes all the complexity and stress out of food safety, and gives business owners exactly what they need: an easy to follow set of processes, and the training to ensure that they are followed.

Meet Katy Elliott

Katy is the founder of Nursery Kitchen, an independent food business initially set up to supply healthy meals for the nursery her son was attending. The business quickly grew, and over 18 years, Katy supplied meals and fed over 1 million children across the UK.

Katy was awarded Merseyside Entrepreneur of the year in 2016 thanks to her efforts. But unfortunately, Covid restrictions and other matters forced the business to close.

Katy still had a passion for good food practice and was unrelenting in her drive to ensure the best practice was followed by everyone. Understanding the struggles of businesses, Katy Elliott's 5* Food Safety was founded, to help those around the Liverpool City Region achieve their 5* Food Hygiene rating.

Qualifications

Katy has over 25 years of industry experience, and an extensive list of qualifications to complement that experience. Her qualifications cover a wide range of aspects essential to food safety.

  • Lvl 3 HACCP in food manufacturing
